Umberto Cesari Art Contest

In this fourth edition we turn to many different artists: photographers, graphic designers, illustrators, painters and digital artists; your goal is to create a creativity declined in three labels for the exclusive use of Umberto Cesari for the 3 wines of the MOMA line.

MOMA is the line dedicated to the world of art and the name itself is the acronym My Own Masterpiece . After the homage to Giorgio Morandi in the first edition, the idea of ​​a competition was born, the Umberto Cesari Art Contest , to promote young talents, give continuity to the pairing of wine and art and periodically innovate the labels of the line.

All artists residing in Italy and abroad, of both sexes, with no age limits, can apply for this 2025 edition.

We want to involve all the creatives who know how to apply the artistic forms mentioned above for the creation of creativity for the three labels; each artist can participate by submitting multiple proposals that will be placed on the 3 wines of the MOMA line, white wine, red wine and bubbles. The winning proposal will be used exclusively by Umberto Cesari and can be used on all means of communication, print, digital and social for 8 years.

We gave ourselves a theme: “ the culture of wine at the centre of a convivial moment in our lives between the right times and responsible consumption” .

How do you interpret this phrase in creativity? This will be the question that all participating artists must answer!

The 4 values ​​around which the proposals must revolve are:

• heritage, sustainability and innovation;
• responsible consumption and well-being;
• sociality and conviviality: quality and time needed to live in a “convivium”;
• interpretation of how wine is part of our food tradition.

The call provides for the winning artist (chosen among the 6 finalists in the short list) the sum of €2,500 gross that will be recognized by the artistic collective Mostrami (our collaborators for this year’s artistic call) against an invoice or occasional receipt; the other 5 artists corresponding to the 5 proposals in the short list will receive a prize in kind of three cases each (MOMA white, MOMA red and MOMA sparkling wine) that will be sent by Umberto Cesari for a commercial value of €200. The application is completely free.
